Bible Passage about enemies and how good comes to those persecuted?
There’s something in the bible I’m looking for but cannot find. Something about all the wrongs your enemies do against you actually work for your own good. Does anybody know what it is?
“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 5:10) ~ Note: “persecute” also means “drive away, to pursue (in a hostile manner), in any way whatever to harass or trouble.” So if you get that for this then heaven is yours. “For righteousness’ sake” also means for “the doctrine concerning the way in which man may attain a state approved by God.”
“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven…” (Matt. 5:11,12)
