condition of coins and value of?
i have some coins i want to know the easiest way to evaluate the condition of coins that is VF and EF, and AVE CIRC. i am lost when it comes to doing this if anyone has the easiest way of deciding this i would love to hear from you and the steps for evaluating between the different conditions of coins.i have a catalogue but being the average guy i dont understand, thanx.
It takes lots of practice to really get good at grading coins. Average circulated (ave circ) usually means very well worn. The books in the first two links below are the standard references, but it is still necessary to practice. You might also want to find a local coin club which would be able to guide you in the fine art of coin evaluation. I hope that helps.
